The outfits worn by the performers dovnload free games as they played their castanets and danced are nearly identical to those sported by Galicians on traditional occasions. In fact, I wore a similar frock when I was a kid, marching in the Columbus Day parade with my cousins and members of a local Galician social club.

To be clear, I love all of my friends equally, regardless of where they hail from, but as the New York City–raised children of Portuguese and Galician immigrants, she and I share a shorthand and an innate understanding that comes from our common heritage.
